NOTICE: We are experiencing technical issues where the application forms are  being submitted intermittently. We are working on resolving these issues. This permit is valid from the date of issuance to and including the 31st day of December, 2020.

This permit is not valid between the hours of 7 a.m. And 7 p.m. April 1st to October 31st.

Burning is allowed any time of day from November 1st to march 31st.

BREACH OF BY-LAW # 2001-16

PENALTY:  Every person who contravenes any provisions of this By-Law is guilty of an offense against this By-Law and shall, upon conviction, therefore be subject to a fine of not more than two thousand ($2000) dollars exclusive of costs and every fine is recoverable under the Provincial Offences Act.

This permit does not cover any requirements under the Environmental Protection Act and the Forest Fires Prevention Act.


The Township of Nairn and Hyman and/or the Township of Nairn and Hyman Fire Department has the right to revoke or cancel the Burn Permit at anytime without notice.
